Invariably we change the decking when replacing a roof unless the specification requires that the original be kept. When re-decking we use smart ply. Smart ply does not delaminate and has no knot holes, core voids or other structural defects.

Only the best quality materials are used when felt roofs are specified.
A three layer built up system is used comprising of:-

• A universal glass fibre chesterfelt which is laid first as a separation layer.

• An intermediate layer of SBS (Styrene-Butadeine-Styrene) torchon membrane requiring minimal heat application is applied to ensure maximum adhesion to provide a 100% secure bond.

• The third layer comprises of SBS mineral felt. SBS (Styrene-Butadeine-Styrene) is used to improve the characteristics of the roof. It provides greater elasticity, a higher resistance to heat and cold and excellent resistance to ageing.
